I have a 65W Custom Sealife Smartlight on my 37 gal FOWLR tank.

My 30" fixture only fits one PC bulb. It came with a 50/50 (Actinic 03/10K) Smartlight bulb. When this eventually burns out, what should I replace it with?

1. The same 50/50 Smartlight.
2. 8800K bulb.
3. 10000K bulb.

I am trying to figure out what bulb is best to encourage the growth of the coralline algae on my LR. I assume that the fish and hermits don't much care about the color of the light.

If you do not have a seperate ballast to run actinic lighting, I would stick with a true 50/50 bulb. Coralline will grow better in an actinic environment rather than the white bulbs.

Cheers
Steve
