I am considering purchasing RO equipment for my home. I am looking for recommendations and lessons learned by others. I will need equipment that makes at about 1 gal per day RO water

I have a 55 gal Salt Water Fish Only tank. I am very tired of buying RO water at my LFS.

Thx for any assistance

I like SpectraPure units over all other brands. They are not the cheapest, but their quality is top notch.

In general, I like to see clear prefilter canisters, vertically mounted DI cartridges, a pressure gauge, and tested RO membranes with a 95%+ rejection rate.

I have been very happy with my Ocean Wave + from www.thefilterguys.biz. That is a very good point about the placement of the DI resin cartidge. Also, it would be useful to look for a unit with an in-line TDS metter.
