Royal gramma

Ok so it's been a day after introducing a royal gramma. He's eating already but not quiet. He's eating pellets but spits them out after putting in his mouth. I'm feeding it new life spectrum pellets. I noticed it having algae in it. Should I feed mysis shrimp from now on

Mine will eat flake as well as mysis and brine he'll eat pellets as well. If your going to feed just the shrimp I'd soak it in garlic and vitamin c thats how I feed mine

Mine loves mysis, also eats flakes and bloodworms, but doesn't touch pellets at all.

Mine comes out and swims around in the morning, comes out at dinner and will swim around some in the evening, but he does stay in his hiding place quite a bit. Shame, cu he's a beautiful fish.

My father kind of dislikes this fish because it hides often. Although I'm limited on what fish I can put because my tank is a 20 gallon

Does this fish always hide

It will have a spot that will be "it's spot". It will go there if it is spooked or feeling uneasy. My Royal Gramma was semi-active, but did spend much time in his spot. Thankfully for me, his spot was easily seen from the front of the tank.

If I were to feed this fish mysis shrimp should I dose it with vitamins

If you can get gut loaded frozen food then you should be ok.
