Sand sifting goby

I picked up a sand sifting goby yesterday and I have yet to see him. Is it normal for them to hide out like this? I see little kiss marks on the glass that could be from him but I'm no positive

Which sand sifting goby did you get exactly? Pictures? Mine does hide but only when it's lights out.

It's common for gobies to tend to hide. However, what kind of goby is this and what size tank is it?

He is a orange diamond goby?
The tank is 350g
I found him in the over flow this morning, but he isn't in there any more. I checked in the sump, behind the tank, in the overflow. Nothing

How much live rock do you have? Do you have good views all around the tank? In that size of tank I would be surprised you don't see it
