Starter tank that has recently cycled. I have 6 damsels. One 3 spot damsel appears to possibly have a film on it and a zebra damsel that has a white spot on its tail. Both spear fine swimming and doing its natural behavior should I treat the fish and if so how? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like they could possibly have ich or brookenylla. If one was to treat, you will need to set up a QT tank so that medicine can be applied. Basically a bare system with some PVC elbows in it and you would utilize water changes to keep parameters in check due to copper based medications killing off any beneficial bacteria.

Ich or marine velvet?

You can also try giving them a freshwater dip and then place them into a quarantine tank with hyposalinity (0.014) for a week or so. Add garlic into their diet to keep them eating.
