So while watching my tank before cutting off the light I seem my cleaner shrimp like hanging onto my flame angel. Is this him cleaning him or are they fighting?

Most likely cleaning! Just watch for damage on each animal. Fins nipped or whatever, if no damage is seen, it might just be aggressively cleaning.

Well it's funny I just checked this then went and looked at tank. Flame angel is dead I'm pretty sure. Bout to remove it. But here's what I seen.

Today I saw my BSWGoby on his side getting the same treatment. When I moved in for a closer look he righted himself and backed to his normal spot.

Could have been sick, and the shrimp was just waiting for it.

Agreed, if your fish was dying, crabs and shrimp typically catch onto this and stay close by. A cleaner shrimp wouldn't damage a fish IME.

yeah i highly doubt the cleaner shrimp hurt him my cleans ALL my fish and even me lol he is a character but a harmless one hope this helps good luck
