I was wondering if fish know they are in a fake home. Do these fish that live normally in the natural habitat swim a lot more (travel)or do they just stay in a small radius or something

My best guess is yes. And that's why I find that tank bred fish seem more at home while wild caught fish always seem a little on edge.
