Not sure how the heck it got in there, but I have what appears to be two clumps of beard algae, and some other whispy stuff that is growing on the bottom. I have a picture of the whispy stuff, and it has attached itself to a solid green tube that I have not seen before.

Anyone know what I should do to keep this stuff in check? It's a 10 gallon tank, only have one damsel in it, and 4 turbo snails. And lots of spaghetti worms...I use R/O water from our built in house filter (so maybe it's not pure R/O?).

Thanks for looking!

Various forms of Bryopsis, and I think the strand is chaetomorpha.

I would guess it's the water. Do you have a TDS meter to check it for contaminants? I think those strands are spionid worms, not spaghetti.

I don't have the TDS. Can you recommend one?

And should I purchase R/O water and do some water changes with that?
