Uv sterilizer

Hey all. Ive heard good things about uv sterilizers. My new "tank" came with a coralife turbo twist uv sterilizer but after looking at the sterilizer it has a piece of copper connecting the hoses can i use this in my fowlr? Ive heard copper kills corals and want to put a few in this tank till my 20 is ready. Will this be ok?

U can probably just replace it. Post a pic. Most likely the fitting is just either holding the hose to the steralizer or to another piece of pipe so it wouldn't be touching the water. Why would they sell something that could kill ur tank right
