I put salt in my 55g this morning. It's being cycled throughout the sump and all.
About how long before I can get an accurate reading on my hydrometer?

a couple hours usually but i would recommend that you get a refractometer hydrometers are very inaccurate

I would give it a shot now if it was go'n all day. But to be sure I would test now and check again in the morn'n and if it's the same then that is where the specific gravity is. But if you really want to be accurate you should invest in a refractometer.
