What is my Damsel doing...laying eggs?

I have 2 black & white strip damsels. The larger one looks to being laying eggs on the titanium heater. I'll see all these whites dots on the heater and the damsel swimming around it and chasing any other fish that comes by. even the lion fish. I have also seen these in the corner of the tank but that ended up disappearing after a few days. But I have seen them on the heater many many times. Are they eggs?
 
My opinion is that they probably are but I would say snail eggs. the fish is probably chasing off the others to protect his food stash. Just a guess.
 
That's probably right. Because at times it looks like the damsels is eating them.
 
there is no reason why they would not be damsel eggs, I have had marginated damsels and reef chromis lay eggs and the behaviour you are describing is about the same. It is also not uncommon for them to eat their own eggs afterwards.
