Our 4 year old daughter was trying to help is clean the house for a birthday party by cleaning the windows. The next morning (today) all our fish are dead. We couldn't figure out what happened!! We found out our daughter had used window cleaner to clean the sump and it got into the water. She was just trying to help but it is so sad! Surprisingly our bubble tip anemone and serpent starfish are still alive...for now. Will it kill the live rock too?

Also, adding a water conditioner like Prime or Amquell might help. It may bind the ammonia and make it non-toxic, while you do water changes to remove it.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I'm waiting on a new tank which I will baby proof somehow or another lol. My little boy is a year and a half and is EVERYWHERE!

It's a bit difficult to baby proof a tank. We have a 1 year old and have a lock on the doors. It keeps him out but not our 4 year old :)
