yellow wrasse

I bought a yellow wrasse yesterday and couldn't find it anywhere.i went looking threw the sand and I found him.once in awhile I will see it but keeps hiding in the sand.is this normal?

Yes they sleep in the sand. For go searching for him. It is freaked out and will probably hide in the sand for a couple days before it adjusts. You searching for him is just adding stress.
