I stay away from credit cards and pay pal and stuff like that for a lot of reasons... it has made it difficult to buy a house, not having enough credit, but I also never face problems like major debt and so on... but sumphead was right, this post was started and is still aboud purchasing feedback...
I think revhtree puts it well..

And also gives some good advice... I think for now we should ALL give this one a little time and see if things work out... If things don't work out... well that's what the whole topic is about... You stick with what you say, people will say good things about you... If things don't work out, if people aren't honest or whatever, the same thing goes... The idea of feedback is to let people know who they can and can't trust... If someone says something bad, and it's true, it's just something you'll have to live with. If I sent someone one of my coconut shells and they didn't pay me, you can be sure I'd tell everyone about it if I couldn't resolve it otherwise... likewise if someone sent me money for something, and I didn't send them what they asked for, I'm sure they'd be telling everyone too... that's just how it goes... All that said, I think we should leave this to the two of them for a while until such a time where some statements can either be confirmed or retracted... I hope you can all figure something out that will satisfy everyone involved...

Milli I have to agree, I think this thread has served it's purpose, to get them talking to each other, I think the mods should lock this down now and once everything is finished (one way or the other) then maybe someone could make a post about how things turned out.

Sumphead I am sure there is someone on this board that would like to buy a beautifull custom built acrylic sump. I know if it fit in my stand it would be there. LOL

Im sorry, I wasnt trying to hijack the thread with my paypal comments.
I was only trying to say that its is possible to have the money and good intentions when you agree to pay someone- and then have paypal drop the ball and make you look like a scam artist.
I wasnt trying to start an anti paypal movement - just trying to say it could be possible this person had gone through something similar.

It wasn't you Diva, it wasn't really anyone... there were a few people that mentioned how bad paypal could be... I understood that you were only trying to get everyone to look at every angle... that's the best way to look at things...
How quickly we all get off subject... lets leave this one for a while and hopefully it will resolve itself.. I just wanted to make sure that Diva wasn't feeling bad as she shouldn't...

Was contacted and was told the first payment is in the mail. Looks like we are off to a positive start.

Well I received a payment of $40 and that is it. I heard from him again and I was told he was filing bankruptcy and broke.
It turns out he also goes by the screen name illusion on reeffrontiers.com and reefcentral.com.
He is so broke he is in the process of planning to get a 224 gallon tank.

This is truely a disappointment, I'm sorry this has happened to you, I hope there is some way you can eventually recoup your loss.

I look at it this way. I have met alot of great people here on AA.com and consider it the best board on the net.I truly enjoy my time here and hope i am an asset to the members. With that said i think one bad apple out of almost 6000 is a pretty good ratio.

Firefighter,
I reported your post over at reeffrontiers, it's not cool to take things from one board to another. I'm sure Darren appreciates your effort, and I commend your loyalty to our sponsor, starting things on their board is not the best way to go about it. It's traditionally called trolling, and is not cool.
