Fishdude3233 - F (Negative feedback)
I hate to give out negative feedback but I've been left with no choice in my experience with Fishdude3233.
More than a month ago I listed a RAOK/Trade thread on the Classified forum. After exchanging a few PMs regarding trades I agreed to send over some plants to Fishdude3233 in exchange for some plants he had. I shipped out about two days later and PMed him with tracking info. Included in my package was a baseball+ sized clump Java Moss, a golfball of subwassertang, and a starter clump of fissidens. The package was delivered that same week. After a week of mailing my package I PMed him regarding the plants he was supposed to send me. He had informed me that he had forgotten and would ship them out ASAP. After several days he PMed me again asking me about another RAOK/trade thread I had and also informed me that my plants had shipped. No tracking was provided. More than a week passed and nothing ever came for me so I again followed up with a PM asking him if he knew the status of the plants he had shipped. I sent that last PM two days again and have received no response.
Considering this whole thing has lasted over a month and was never very complicated to begin with (I send you plants, you send me plants, no money is exchanged) I am very disappointed with how this has played out. Thus I can only recommend to buyers here on AA to be careful when dealing with Fishdude3233.

Fish dude 's products were satisfactory yes. There is a lesson to be learned in all this.. There is a reason why the USPS is 890965889 trillion dollars in debt .. Maybe consider a different avenue in terms of shipping?? FedEx,ups? The quality of your product will not mean all that much if it does not arrive in a timely manner. You'll find that paying customers care not for why but more for now

I really hope this can be resolved. I really do t want a negative stand on the forum, because I already feel terrible, and don't even want to step foot into another "fish" thing, because I feel so embarrassed. I'm not mad at you, in any way, and I would feel the same If I were you amazon. Once again hope this gets resolved.

I've shipped hundreds of boxes using USPS. I have had VERY few issues and have found USPS to be, BY FAR, the most cost effective option. Every carrier has issues from time to time. That's just how it is when you are shipping fish and plants- you WILL run into a problem at some point because no carrier is perfect.

I really don't care about the carrier as long as it gets the job done. Amazon box is going out Monday. Hopefully when the dust settles things will be a ok.

This is just completely untrue.
I don't mean to take this thread off-topic but I do think this is work mentioning. Considering the volume (millions of packages a day, hundreds of millions of letters a day), you'll actually find that the USPS loses very, very few packages. The majority of package no-shows via USPS are due to the sender writing an error in delivery address (thus often causing the package to eventually become rerouted back to the sender, which can often take a little time) or sometimes delivery theft (recipient isn't home, package is left on door step and then stolen -- please note that the USPS offers Hold For Pick-Up for free too). Very few domestic mail packages simply disappear. Tracking and $50 Insurance is now included free on all Priority Mail (standard air shipping for anything over 13 ounces) and is only a $1.05 for First Class Mail packages, thus increasing the accountability of all air transport packages.
The USPS loses a ridiculous amount of money each year because of government mandates set by Congress, which more or less leads to the fact that they are not able to able to charge the prices that they actually need to. Consider the logistics of taking a single letter in Hawaii and having it hand delivered to an address in New York 3-5 days later. I assure you it costs more that than the 49 cents a current stamp costs now. Also consider mailing packages up to 70 pounds that same distance for just $12.35 in a Medium Flat Rate Box.
I speak confidently because I see it first hand -- I work in a US Post Office.

Uhh Ohhh, sorry, I'm just bitter because I paid the 14.95 for second day on a tax payment, and it did not get there second day, needless to say the us treasury is rather unforgiving when it comes to late payments, other than that I have no gripes.. Also.. They did deliver my package if red cherry shrimp 5 days late..
