This tread gave me the most wonderful picture in my head that I just had to share (some of the recent pics posted by Travis probably didn't hurt either).

-----

Travis the Aquatic Plant Dealer

"Hey kid. You look like you might want to try some aquatic plants. How about some Downoi, and maybe some Micranthemum Umbrosum, oh and you've definately got to try some Ammania sp. 'Bonsai'..."

A while later the kid walks away arms filled with little baggies full of plants. He can hardly believe his luck and hurries home to place the plants lovingly in his tanks.

A few months later we find the kid sitting in a corner with the shakes mubbling "Just one more tank... gotta have another tank... need more room for the Rotala Rotundifolia and Didiplis Diandra... gotta have another tank...".

-----

Anyway, I have to agree that Travis is wonderful about sharing his love of plants with the rest of us. I can say that he helped start me out on this wonderful addiction, and I have three high light nanos to show for it. They aren't always as cooperative as I'd like, but the challenge is a part of the fun. Have fun with the plants everyone, and don't forget to help spread them around so that one day soon you too can be an "Aquatic Plant Dealer".

i have made a personal vow that once my plants start to propagate i will be shipping free of charg to other canadian members to soread the glory. and once they are all full of plants i will be selling them to my local fish store so more people have the chance to get ahold of them. i think travis can almost single handedly be responsibe for half of the rare species available in canada now lol. he has offered me soo many plants that i am currently looking into a 35 gal tank just to fit them!! your a bad wonder man travis lol.
