KKAY27 is to quick to judge
I hate to put KKAY27 on blast but she has opened a paypal disputed against me claiming she hasn't received her order on time and then emails me to see if I even shipped. In my opinion it should have went the other way around. I held her order for a day she requested. I tracked the order and it left my area and scheduled to get to her on her desired day. As we all know sometimes USPS does not always deliver on time or even gets lost. I know it can be frustrating (for the buyer and seller) when a plant or fish you're expecting doesn't arrive on time. Be patient and see what the next day brings.

Did you send her the tracking number when you shipped?
That is important so folks can see for themselves the movement, though USPS is notoriously slow at updating.
Hopefully, you have emails or texts to back up your claim on shipping dates and what have you. If you do, you should have no problem with PayPal.
PayPal rules state that as a seller you need to ship within seven days of cleared payment, unless other arrangements are made.
I feel your pain, some folks don't even try to work with you if something goes wrong (or they think it's wrong).

Yes. I always send out a tracking number with each one of my orders for the buyers and seller easy mind. I just wished she would have waited a little longer than opening an dispute the same day it didn't arrive.

I hear you.
Sounds like a nervous buyer.
PayPal won't rule against somebody if you shipped. They are well aware that you cannot control the post office.
I once had a ridiculous dispute filed against me. My advice, answer the dispute as fast as possible with as much proof and documentation as you can and PayPal will close the case in your favor very quickly.

That is not reasonable at all and not actual grounds for a dispute (at least I don't think it is, its not a FedEx guarantee situation.
If I filed a dispute with PayPal every time something I bought online was late they'd probably cancel my account.

Not taking sides but as someone who orders most of my fish related things online, there will be complications sometimes.. It just happens.
I've had things arrive to the hour of expectation and stuff get lost for a few weeks. It usually falls back to the shipping company not the individual seller. Once it's en route there's nothing the seller can do... Poor tracking, foul weather, many things can affect arrival times.

Because of health issues I do almost all of my shopping online, aquarium related and everything else. I always contact a seller before filing a claim, dispute, etc. If there's no response in 24 hours I make a second attempt. It's only at that point where I'll make the decision to go third party.

Opening a paypal dispute Is a tad bit much imo. I've had orders go amiss, week late, package smashed to a pancake. That all falls on the shipping provider. I think a lot of newer online shoppers fail to realize that once the seller drops it off at the post office than its literally and physically out of their hands. Specify what days you'd like your package shipped. I find that sending out on a Monday or Tues morning usually goes swimmingly.
As a side note I'd like to add that all my dealings with pitbullys have been nothing short of flawless

I feel for you pit.
Everytime I sell/ship I put my name on this site and anywhere else someone may look at risk.
As a seller/shipper I have NO CONTROL over the shipper OR the customer.
Some people are hard to please , communicate with, and pass and receive accurate information to or from.
Part of garnering respect from your community is in how you do business.
When it is 1 bad against 9 good I usually leave it at that.
I respect the way you handled this situation and hope KK doesn't feel bashed but learns from the experience .

I'm almost positive that any online credit card transaction has to be completed by someone 18 or over no matter the site.

Can't wait to hear the update on this.
It's never happened to me, but I know a lot of high volume sellers and they've had folks file unreasonable disputes before the fish arrived, only to have one problem after another with the buyer, who probably just regretted the purchase in the first place so they start causing havoc with the seller's paypal account with other issues, real or imagined.
I just hope that doesn't happen here and buyer and seller walk away happy.

I used to sell a lot of plants and root tabs and such things here in the UK. Its fine when everything goes ok but for me it became a hassle dealing with customers like this. I stopped selling things in the end.
I had this one customer email to say he hadnt received. I gave the option to reship or refund. Well i ended up sending out the package again. Only to find i got the same response. I simply refused to believe two shipments had become 'lost'. I think some people on this planet like to lie, cheat and steal.

The fish arrived today and one of the bags busted, but the other bag survived. She lost 3 fish. I'm pretty bummed but happy the others made it safely (dang you USPS). I will be refunding her money for the 3 DOA after the PayPal dispute releases the funds from the initial purchase. I'm so sorry for all the frustration this caused and I hope it doesn't discourage you from ordering from me or anyone on AA.
