Got her/his phone number?
How did you ship it?
was it across state lines?
If its been this long and they see the fish YOU sent them everyday, then yeah id pursue other means of getting your property back. Something is fishy, and it aint the fish.
Ive had to do this a few times before, in the end you get something in return.

Sir, do what you gotta do, the other party has committed mail fraud and extortion.deceptive practice. Business or not it was a trade more then likely a written agreement if you conversed thru email and the trade was offered/accepted thru email it is considered written. I might be wrong in some aspects but someone owes you a fish.
Its all principal I am assuming correct?

Yeah....it's the principle more than anything. I would NEVER do this to a fellow hobbyist. I'm in this for the love of the hobby.....not to make a fortune. I just feel like I've been taken advantage of. I'm out 12 bucks shipping and a nice fish.

since it went USPS I would go in and talk to your local postmaster. They got ALOT more authority then most people think. Besides its a federal offense as well. I think it was a bad move on the other persons part, seriously, he/she see's YOUR fish every single day.......

Just thought you should see this: MY75 planted tank just some shots setting up - Aquaria Central
That your fish in the pics (the one in the bucket)? She posted that today so she's definitely avoiding you and has seen your messages. Think I'll make a post on that forum.

Thanks for helping me out folks. I can't tell if the fish in the bucket is one of mine or not. I actually think the one I sent her was larger.

wheather one of plecos in the bucket is the one you have sent is not really important
what matters is that she is not going through any trouble at the moment and is very happy about her new set up...
this is stealing and she is about to get away with it
DO NOT let her get away with this you have sent her what is yours and expected to get something in return with her consent
get what is yours...
i hope this experience does not discourage you to do any trade/barter in the future as there are many more honest people than a deceiving creature like her

$$ are not necessary. What we originally agreed upon will be sufficient. That is all I ever wanted.....nothing more.
