Negative Feedback For addicted2fish
I hate to do this....but here goes. I posted on the Barter forum looking to trade a mature male bristlenose for a mature female bristlenose. Starla (addicted2fish) answered my post and said she would be willing to complete the trade. I shipped a large, beautiful male ABN a few days later. She e-mailed me and said that he was doing great in her tank. She said she would ship the female to me in a few days. It didn't happen. Then she apologized (stating dental problems) and promised to ship a couple of days later. One excuse has led to another (family problems, etc) and now about one month later she no longer responds to my PM's. I think I have been very patient and now have reached the end of my rope. I guess I've been had. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, and that is why I am posting this negative feedback for her.

Sorry to hear about this... I hope it is just a misunderstanding. Doesn't sound like it but I doubt she was trying to steal a fish from you. What were the terms of the deal? You ship first and then her?

I was burned once too, although in my case not only did I not get the items I was supposed to get, I was out a good chunk of money. I'm sorry this happened to you!

No. I don't remember the member's name, it was a couple of years ago.

Addicted to fish sent me the guppies I paid for.
My transaction was perfect.
Maybe she really is having some problems.
Or something may have happened.

Something along the lines of "you were had, morning man" I think. It took me a couple of reads to figure it out.
Hopefully there is a real reason behind addicted2fish's lack of response and we will hear from her soon.

She has received a lot of good feedback and I have dealt with her before as well. My guess is she really does have something going on and hopefully she will remedy your situation when she is able. But I understand your frustration.

How did you ship it? USPS I hope, that is mail fraud.

even worse if it's inter-state (across state lines). Though I doubt this rises to the level to get anyones attention

I know that mail fraud involves the mail, that is a given. I was asking what would be constituted as mail fraud. I looked it up and found the correct answer.

if you lived in NYC i would have gladly bought you a ABN pleco as i saw like 30 of them in a LFS this monday @ $11.00
but then...they looked not mature enough to breed...not even big enough to sex yet...although some of them had a slightly bigger bristles
the sooner you forget about this ordeal...the sooner you will be relieved
and maybe she is really going through a lot and will get back to you soon
