TB aquatics, idiots

Hello all,
Here is some negative feedback for TBaquatics:
I ordered a 24in glass pipette for feeding coral. The item came without the little rubber watchamacallit that creates a vacuum so you can suck up liquid. I contacted them and told them it was missing. Instead of an apology and a "well send it out asap", they simply excused me of lying?!

They claimed it WAS indeed in there because they were SURE of it since they packaged it up themself. I checked ALL packaging thoroughly and found NOTHING. I told them this several times, and they kept stating that it was in there and that was all there was to it.

I let them know how insulted I was that they would assume me to be trying to weasel them out of a low cost item like that after spending nearly $200.00 with them on bulbs and equipment! I will figure out some other way to make it work and never go back to them for ANYTHING!

How insulting...Thought I would do my part as consumer and LET THE WORLD KNOW!

Matt

I am sending him out a new bulb even though he stormed off the chat session before we were done. I was just making sure it wasn't accidently thrown away since I do not have spare palette bulbs and need to take it off another one.

I hate chat since you cannot convey emotion.

Anyone who knows me knows I always assume the customer is right.

Based on the chat I could also assume some not so nice things about him. But instead I will assume he is just having a bad day and send the palette bulb.

The responses were very much geared toward me being wrong, and absolutely nothing on your part.

I opened up by stating that the bulb was not attached to the pipette, nor was it in the tube that the pipette was in. I checked the main package and found nothing either. TB continued to claim it WAS INDEED in the package and that I was not seeing it.

I have never been harassed by customer service before. They ask for a recepit and thats about it. TB continued to talk about how they couldnt possibly be to blame.

I stormed off when I realized the little game being played. I have other things to do than to argue over a cheap little rubber bulb. (Like find another way to make the thing work!).

For real man, how hard do you think it is to determine that an item is not in the package?

You should have let off after I ASSURED you that I didnt see the item! Not keep pusing it! That is BAD customer service! Especially over a cheap little item like that, and considering the money I have spent with you.

Matt

Just in the future, at a chemistry supply store you can get much the same thing for much the less price. Pipets - Measuring Equipment - Equipment & Supplies - Carolina Biological Supply Company

I've bought from these guys in the past and delivery is always on time. The last time I bought was for 50 petri dishes for culturing algae.

You can also get lab grade pH kits, TDS kits and other equipment, even chillers cheap, although the chiller is in the catalogue, not on the website for some reason.

Just don't click on the Aquaria menu item. Your head is likely to explode... BOOM

You totally misinterpreted it. It doesn't look like what you would expect and I was just making sure it wasn't overlooked. I am sending you one out. Even though you flipped your lid I am also sending you a $10 gift certificate.

Your right I don't make a big deal out of a small item. You stormed off without letting me resolve it and assumed I wouldn't.

No further responses necessary.
