Another newbie ...

Hi there,

Before my sons last birthday I asked him what he would like. I would also state that we have been trying to get him out of our bed (which he shares with us) and into his own (especially as he is now 7). He tells me he would like some fish and that that would help him sleep in his own room. So I bought a Fluval Edge 45L tank, some gravel, ornaments etc. Got the cyclying done (having never owned a fish tank before) and then gradually added some fish (Guppy's, shrimp etc). Long story short, I am now caring for the tank (my son has lost all interest, unless there is a birth/death). I am now looking to puchase a bigger 250L tank and this hobby has slowly taken over part of my life (its like owning a dog!). In case you were wondering, no, my son is still in our bed!

Welcome! Kids can be like that. Hopefully you find a way to help him get comfortable in his own room soon.
