Brendan, new to the hobby

Hey I'm Brendan, a 15 year old kid lookin to get into the hobby of planted freshwater aquariums. I started taking an interest in this about a year ago when I got my first small little tank and now I want to get a little more serious so I got a Fluval Spec V. (pricy but aesthetic). Im always open to tips and suggestions regarding my nano, thanks!

Welcome aboard. Keep in mind the golden balance in regards to planted aquarium.

The balance of light intensity, CO2 and Nutrient availability must be found to prevent unwanted algae blooms. This is process of understanding and feel. Every tank is different
