Do you have power now? If not, try slowly bringing the temp back up with water bottles filled with hot water. Swap them out as they cool off. Wrap the tank in a blanket to keep the warmth in.

to AA! Sounds to me like it was just old and it was its time to go. They don't live forever and 25 years is a long time.

Based on your message you sent me (raising temp to 82 immediately after power came on) I'm guessing the fish may be in shock. Quick fluctuations in temperature can cause shock.
