Hi Everyone!!!

I accidentally happened on this site yesterday, and am so happy to find this forum!!! I had a ten-gallon tank 20 years ago but gave up the hobby after moving out of state. Now that I am retired, I am returning to my love of aquariums. I have been given a 40-gal tank that is a very odd shape. It is a corner tank but is five-sided rather than three-sided. I don't know where to begin to find an appropriate stand or hood. This site seems wonderful for all things aquatic-related. I hope someone can point me in the right direction as I begin my setup process!!

Hello Eliot! Can you provide us with the dimensions of your new tank??

The tank from the corner (back) end to the front is 25" across. At its longest point side-to-side is 23 1/4". Two of the five sides are 22 1/4", and the remaining three sides are 13" each. It is 25" deep. Wish I could draw it for you.

Welcome. There are some good posts on tank cycling and aquascaping. Start simple, get compliacted.
