I just bought a used 10g bowed tank with fish and everything inside. After a few days and my GF saw the tank and the green on some stones, we gutted everything and replaced everything. The dead tree trunk is awesome but takes up almost half the tank so we will save it when we get a home and can get a bigger tank.
I replaced the filter with supposedly high quality Marineland bio-wheel filter but it is so loud, new thermometer, new line for the bubbler (bubbler we kept) and the heater is old and we will replace it as the lights are out. It seems to be working though...
I was running out of time so the silk plants (Plastic could harm fish) were quickly planted and the bubbler stone was not hidden.
