Aquarium Advice Newbie
Hello, just introducing ourselves. I've had both freshwater and reef aquariums in the past but due to a cross-country move I got out of the hobby. Well, now my wife's youngest son really wants me to get back into it.
So, I am actively searching for a 35-55g used aquarium with the thought of starting with a planted freshwater system and as he gets older maybe converting it over to a reef system. He is only 11 and I think it would be beneficial for him to experience both types of fish, plant and coral husbandry.
We live in Whidbey Island, WA so are somehwat remote, but yes we have local fish stores and some Petcos.
