Hello I'm rob. I'm new to this site but I been keeping aquariums for about 2 years. I have an interesting hobby.
Well I'm trying to seed a 50g aquarium. I have a duel sponge filter that's about 6 months old and full of bacteria. I have a marineland emperor dual bio wheel for a 70g.
How long would it take to cycle with dirty sponges and some water with a ton of bacteria in the aquarium?

Also the bio wheel was in an established aquarium for about two weeks.

You never know till you do it. The times for everyone is different depending on the amount of bacteria and bio loads. I cycled my pond over night by adding seeded sponges.
