Hi everyone. I'm new to the site and looking forward to learning from you all. I have kept aquariums in the past but it's been 7 years or so. I was offered an aquarium last week and jumped at the opportunity to dive back into something I love. It's a 46 gallon bow front. I cleaned all the old substrate out, rinsed with hot water and wiped it out with paper towels and started over. It's been up and running for almost a week. Ph is 7.2. Temp is 76 and stable.I planted three foxtails and a banana plant today. I'm going to buy some fish in the next day or two. Possibly some neon tetras or a few tiger barbs. Not really sure yet. I will also add some guppies in the future. For now I am going to go nice and slow. Nice to find someplace I can chit chat!!
