Hello all ;D
I guess It's time to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a while now and I absolutely love this site! I've had aquariums in my youth, and I've taken a good 10 year break and recently found myself back in the hobby after luckilly recieving a 60 gallon for Christmas.. I didn't realize how much I would have fallen back in love with it until about a week after having it.
I never had live plants when I was younger, and now I'm kind of blindly attempting it. So far I just have java moss and fern, and anubia and an amazon sword.. and I bought some lights from walmart after finding that maybe they would be ok. I'd like to delve into Co2 but that is something that really scares me :) Anywho, here's a pic of my tank. Any input is definitely welcome! So nice to be amongst people who share such a wonderful passion with me :)

That picture was pretty small, so I wanted to add some more pictures. It's still a work in progress mind you.

It's been a while since I updated this, but these are some new photos I took tonight. I've learned a lot since the last time I posted in this thread, such as... how to kill java moss LOL. Yes it can be done, but I can burn water too while we're on the subject hahaha. I acquired quite a few fish, namely Kerri Tetra's, which I have absolutely fallen in love with. I researched them a bit on here, and learned that they aren't nippy like other tetra's.. When I first introduced them, the angelfish were a bit nippy with them, but have since then left them alone.

I bought a dual T5HO Deep Blue lamp yesterday with moonlights.. I'm not too famliar with this brand, but I have heard somewhat ok things from them.. definitely better than Odyssea in my opinion and until it craps out on me (which I hope it does not) I think I might be in love with it :)

Also it seems my angelfish have paired off and I have had eggs in my tank a couples of times now. They lasted a couple of days both times, but the angelfish ended up eating the eggs... I think I'm ok with that since there's not much of a market in my area for aquariums or selling angelfish.. Might be more of a headache than I'm willing to partake in..

Eitherway I hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoy having the tank.. This project has turned into a monster...... :D

(edit) I know that these pictures make it look like the tank has a green haze in it.. It's the camera.. It does have somewhat of a haze in it, which it normally does but I've learned not to run the lights as long.
