I joined because I'm getting ready to start a 30gal saltwater tank and need to learn everything I can before I start. I currently have a 55 gal cichlid tank that has been up and running for about 5 years or so and now I have a extra 30 gallon tank sitting empty in a extra bedroom with a nice stand. I have a lot of questions but won't post them here but I'm excited to get started. My lfs is not much help, the guy just doesn't seem interested in answering any questions unless I'm buying something right then. He even tried to discourage me from using a 30 gal tank, saying it would be a waste of time because I could only put a couple fish in it. So I have read a lot of posts here and everyone seems willing to help, and lord knows I need help.
