Aquarium Advice Apprentice
Hey Aquarium advice forum people!
It's been a while since I stopped with the hobby - at least ten years ago - but I recently decided it was time to start again! It's been glorious to redo two tanks that I've 'saved' from a local craigslist - although I've also ran into the first real problems today (a sick fish)..
My new community tank is 60x30x37cm and "low tech" with loads of plants. Current stock is: 4 red phantom's + 2x honey gourami + 2x corydoras aeneus + 4x otocinclus and +- 50 cherry shrimp + one nerite zebra snail.
My smaller tank is 40x25x25 and is currently used to house cherry shrimp (15?) and one more nerite snail.
I'm aware this stocking is not ideal - I'll look into rehoming some and adding others, but didn't want to do this before the aquarium was stable for three weeks or more and no one turned out to be sick..
And: I've fallen deep into the aquarium-specialists-on-youtube-rabbit-hole - I'm very open to new recommendations! I'm following MD tanks and Girl talks fish so far - I'm a bit of a beginner so low tech and easy is what I'm interested in!
