Hi everyone!
My name is Tyler and I am in the process of cycling a new 20 gallon nano reef aquarium (see my profile album for pics). I am a newbie to saltwater for the most part but in the past I did have a stable 20 gallon fresh water tank that I kept for sometime. I'm on here mainly looking for advice and help from you experienced members and learning as much as i can about the hobby again. I look forward to seeing my tank transform and if all goes well maybe bumping up to a 70+ gallon tank in the future. Thanks!
My set up:
•20 gallon high tank
•Aqua-clear 20 filter with matrix instead of bio stones.
•Aqueon pro 100 heater
•Deep blue T5 VHO hood with day/actinic bulbs (14w x 2) + moonlight LED's.• T8 15w actinic in a normal single bulb hood.
•20lbs of Live rock
•10 lbs marine sand
•10 lbs aragonite sand.
The tank has had water in it for about a month and live rock for three weeks. My ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels are all kind of stalled right now...
