New to the hobby from Maine. Kept a feeder goldfish in a 6gal Eclipse for 3+ years a long time ago and found it very relaxing. My son loves to watch fish tanks, and after a horrible failed experiment with a Betta I decided to jump in with both feet. I really want to keep live plants, but cant seem to put the info I am finding to use. New tank is in the process of cycling and one of the Platy starters has been moved to the old Eclipse to be treated for fin rot already. Aquarium has been running ten days.
