Hi there, I am new to the aquarium world but am enjoying it already.
I purchased a 25 gallon tank off ebay for £22 which come with a hood and lights so I got off to a great start.
I had it running empty for 3 weeks and then introduced 2 platys, 4 stripey danios and 4 orange danios.
I got a mixed sex of each and last week discovered a young Platy fry swimming about and is still swimming around and looking bigger every day. I have also seperated 3 other fry into a smaller tank, I can only assume that my Female platy had 2 sets of fry at different stages and have been educated as how to keep them safe.
On of my stripey Danios is looking chubby so as soon as my breeding net arrives for me to transfer my 3 Platy fry back into the big tank I can put her in the smaller tank for laying her eggs and rearing them seperate.
