Hello, I'm new on this site as I want to make sure im keeping my fish correctly. I have 8 endler guppies, all of which are male as they didn't have any for sale that were females. I have a 30 litre tank in my bedroom, as i am only 14 and my parents wont let me get a bigger tank. I am planning to get around 8 neons, but also some baby guppies from my sisters tank (as she has 2 males and 6 females and around 10 - 15 babies in a 30 litre tank) to maybe make some hybrids. Is this a good idea??

Welcome to Aquarium Advice! Some people like to create hybrids, but others are against it. Some people say it destroys the purity of the breed.

What would the hybrids look like, I know what both the speices look like but what about the mix?

Thanks, yeah ill mix them, im not really bothered about purity What would be the best way to stop the adults eating the fry without seperating them? I had some guppy fry before but there were no suvivors.

Well, you could use a breeder net, Top Fin&#0174 Net Breeder - Fish Care - Fish - PetSmart

or if you have many plants (real or fake, doesn't really matter) sometimes a few will survive.


Some people use breeder box's too, but some people don't recommend that.
