Hi there -I'm new to this hobby, having bought a 40 litre (10 gallon) tank for my son for his birthday.

Been following the rules, but having some guppy death issues... (see my post in "unhealthy fish" section).

Looking forward to being part of this community, though!

Cheers.

Hi, welcome to the forum :)

55 gallon elephant nose tank.
16 gallon vampire shrimp, green lace shrimp and snails.

Hi there, and 40 litres are great tanks for guppies. A couple of months of doing 20pc water canges every 3 to four days will help a lot and it will get easier. 20pc each week is good when cycled. If your following the rules, keep less fish and give them lots of plants and keep other spiecies to an absolute minimum. I have 8 guppies, with half being new fry that i separated when born to about a month old then returned them back. All happy with a khouli loach ( yes there should be more of them). I lost a few at the start but just keep it clean and simple and have fun.
