Aquarium Advice Newbie
Im setting up a 120g reef tank, it's been about 10 yrs since my last set up and WOW!!
things sure have changed...
In cycle for 2 months... Y so long?
well mostly b cuz there was a recall on my heater. no heat for a week!! and in Feburary too so my tank cooled down to room 65 degrees (in our house that is at least).
So, now getting my bio load back up is going to be twice an looong as before..

What do i have?
-An All-Glass 120g tank w/ corner over flows.
-A wet/dry sump (being converted into what we now see today a reef sump )
-I made a fluidized sand bed filter; out of an old reverse osmosis filter canister. works great too!!
-two compact fluoresent strip lights
-A double fluoresent (this holds my Actinic 420 bulbs).
-A Maxi-Jet 1200 W/ the sure flow upgrade kit and the sure grip magnet(trust me on this one ... It's NICE)
-all of my light are on timers with my Actinic light being on most of the time and you know the other two come on from day to midday.
-Almost forgot a tap water DI water filter.
Thinking about
A wave maker
A refugium (might put this i w/ my sump rebuild)
and other things too.. lol dont we all...
