Hi All, 1st timer. ..I have a 50 gallon tank with under gravel and hangover filter. I plan on using a 100 gallon size pump for the UG filter and various bubble stones. Will this much vacuum hurt my fish? Thank you, Otis

I've never heard of too much filtration so you should be good.

My question is about the air pump size, not filtration. I'm putting a Tetra Whisper 100 gallon pump into a 50 gallon tank. Will this create too much vacuum and harm my fish?

Welcome, I’d say not but I used to have taps to control air-flow back in the day when I was doing this.
