hi everyone, which filter for my 54 litre tank??

I'm new to fish keeping but i have been doing a crash course as i have just bought a 54 litre juwel korral fish tank. It came with a bioflow mini filter pump. It only has the fine sponge inside it and it filters 280 litres of water per hour. I want to keep one fancy goldfish in the tank. Have i got the right filter or should i buy another one with activated charcoal etc??Your help is much appreciated folks!!Tanx.

Activated carbo n (charcoal) is not necessary at all. Is the tank going to be salt or freshwater?

Hi, thanks for speedy reply!! Its a cold water (fresh water) tank for just one fancy goldfish.

One fancy goldfish is pushing it for a 54L tank because the rule is first fancy goldfish to 75L and ever additional fish needs 37 more liters. A good filter would be the aquaclear 30 to make the goldfish fit as best as possible with the bio load it requires. I recommend either a bigger tank or a different fish for the best conditions for the goldfish's life.
