I just got my very first tank:)

I was recently given a 5 sided corner aquarium, being unsure about the size I went to petsmartwith the measurements unfortunately they where no help at all so I measured the water, it fit 45 gallons, so with the 50 pounds of gravel I assume about 50 gallons. I added the chemical on Sunday. I was planning on getting fish tomorrow night and was hoping for suggestions, I have a 20 month old and a 6 month old so something colorful and exciting would be great. Thank you all for the help.

Hold off on the fish or at least put them in quarantine until you get the tank cycled, unless it is and you didn't mention it.

What type of filter are you using? Thermometer wattage?

I have a Rena smart filter 55 and an aqua clear 50. It is 150 watt heater. It's not cycled but I put all the additives, quick start, ect

I'm totally against chemicals not a good way to start a tank
nothing good comes from rushing
20 month old will be crushed if that fishy dies so soon
cycle first add fish later
