mystery snails & black mollies

my black molly babies kept nipping at my mystery snail constantly!!
one of mt mystery snails died,, not sure why, but i think it may be because the black molly babies swarm around the poor snail and nip at him everytime he comes out of his shell!
so i bought a little 1 gallon aquarium and moved my mystery snail to it, plus bought 2 more so he'd have friends!
while they seem to be doing good, the water gets very cloudy real fast!!
i do a water change and add the conditioner stuff, and within a day the water is cloudy again!
what is causing this??
i want my snail aquarium to look pretty & clear like my big 20 gallon one!
any help and suggestions will be most appreciated!

Does it have a heater/filter?!

yes, it has a filter and a heater and an air stone, too!

Wow. That's strange. I had a mini-tank that was set up for a few days for a fry that was injured without a filter, but that was why it was cloudy.
