Need advice

I have some beautiful rocks and sea shells from a lake and the sea and would like to use them in my fish tank, but do I need to seal them before putting them in? If so how do I do that?

I wouldnt think you would need to seal them.
I would wash them REALLY REALLY thoroughly!!
And even maybe do a peroxide bath and wash them again!
This is what I would personally do... not sure if it is 'correct' though.
I've used lava rocks I've found, cleaned and put in my tank, and that is how I cleaned them and they're doing great.
