I have a 25 gallon that came with the apartment along with a marbled gobie who eats every thing.

Welcome to AA , it's a great place to learn fast. It's much better than learning on your own.
I must tell you though, this is the first time I've heard of an aquarium coming with an apartment. A dishwasher or an air conditioner, even a washer and dryer, never an aquarium. How did that come about?
