Hi, great to be here with you all! I am gradually getting the things I need to set up my 20 gallon tank. I should have it up and going early next week. :p

I appreciate all of your advice and help in this quest. Hopefully I am stocking with barbs. Any suggestions what I can put in the community with them?

THANKS

Are you familiar with the nitrogen cycle?

This guide will help you with the cycle.

I wish I knew about the cycle when I first bought fish. I would have saved myself a lot of work. I also likely harmed my fish. Though I lost no fish while my tank cycled, it was only on account of a lot of work and luck. I highly recommend you begin a fishless cycle. After you read a bit, it will make sense, I promise!

And welcome to AA!
