Hi all. I have a 29 gallon fresh water tank that I have had for about 2 1/2 years. Still original to my initial set up is my pleco. I just re-homed my red tail shark (also original to my tank). He had become too large and aggressive. He is about 5 inches in length. I added some more fish (mollies and swords) only to find that I am now having a nitrite issue and researching what I should do about that. So until I solve this, no more fish than what is currently in the tank.

I did a 1/3 water change last week and plan to do another one tonight. Nitrite is the only thing off the charts. Everything else is where it needs to be.

Thoughts and ideas are welcome.
