I've had fish tanks all through my childhood and early adulthood but got out of the hobby due to other priorities. Back in it now and trying to do things differently.
I am currently doing a fishless cycle on my 55 gallon plexiglass tank. I plan to have some live java fern growing off the driftwood and have plans to add a couple schools each of Red Serpae and Black Phantom Tetras. Will also add a couple pair of Firemouths, Nicaraguans, and/or Blue Acara's and a featherfin squeaker or two.
Tank stats - 55 gallon plexiglass,
LED Marineland Lights, Aqueon Heater, Fluval 306 Canister, and a Fluval Air pump. Hardscape is stuff i've collected from various rivers and lakes and the substrate is black moon sand.
Looking forward to reading some posts in the forums (other than the fishless cycle posts) and getting to know everyone. Take care,
