New Tank

I am new to the fish world. I have a 75 gallon tank a heater and a filter and thats it. Any tips would help like what gravel is best, what all do i need. All I know is I want at least an Oscar and a Jack Demsey. Any and all help and pointers on what to buy whats needed and set up would be great.
