new tank owner

Hi all my name is Rozzy and I am a novice tank owner. I was given a turtle a couple of months ago and had her in a very small tank until I did a little research and found out she would be happier in a larger tank. So I got a 100 gallon tank and added a few goldfish and a couple snails to the equation. Now what I would like to do is make my tank more like home for the turtle. I would like to make it self-sustainable at least as much as possible. I have no idea what i'm doing but would really like to become a pro tank owner and one day have a salt water tank as well.
