New to AA, HI

Hello All,
I am excited to be here and learning from you all. I have read through several posts and have learned a lot. I am starting up a 55 gallon fresh water and am wanting Oscars and Cichlids. If I can find other aggressive fish to share the tank that would be perfect. I would like a variety if possible. This isn't my first tank, but the first tank that I am learning all I can about water flow, different filtering methods, etc.
I welcome any advice
