New to aquariums

Hello everyone! My husband and myself just recently was given a fish tank for our 2 year old daughters birthday. My husband has had a fish tank before but I have never had one. We both love being outdoors doing things, but we also love the new fish tank when we are inside. Our daughter loves it more than, us of course. Any tips and advice on the new aquarium is always welcome.
